The Groove Tubes Gold Series GT-5Y3 GZ30 is a rectifier tube common to lower-powered Fender amplifiers such as the Champ, Princeton and Deluxe amps. This Gold Series vacuum tube can be used in many 5AR4 and 5U4 amps for lower levels. This Groove Tubes rectifier may be used in amps such as the Matchless DC-30 series and similar amps when you want more compression, less attack, and to lower the voltages in these amps. The GT-5Y3 rectifier gives a nice feel to these amps with a much slower rise time than the 5AR4 or the 5U4, with a great feel. The most common rectifier tube used in higher powered amps which use a rectifier such as Fender 40 watt and Vox AC-30 amplifiers. Common to higher powered tube amps, like the later Fender Super Reverb amps and the Vox AC30 (or Matchless copies). May be used to replace a 5U4 or 5Y3 and will give a faster more dynamic tonal result. This rectifier has a rise time from 300-400 volts that is about 1/2 that of a 5U4. They work nicely in amps such as the Mesa Rectifier series which use the 5U4. Groove Tube Gold Series GT-12AU7 Preamp Tube
The Groove Tubes GT-12AU7 preamp tube is based on a design from the Ei factory in the former Yugoslavia. The GT-12AU7 is an excellent quality large-plate European-made driver tube, styled after the famous Telefunken line of dual triodes. The usual application for a 12AU7 tube is as the phase inverter that drives the power tubes. These are very well matched, and so are highly recommended for Ampeg SVT's and other amps using this tube as a phase inverter. Also commonly used as phase inverters in McIntosh Hi-Fi amps, some Ampeg amps, and will yield the most clean headroom in many amps. In the latest Fender Pro Series amps such as the Pro Reverb, Concert, and Twin, this tube in V2 (or a 12AY7), will drop the gain of the gain channel where some feel the tone is of a less intense or "buzzy" character. This will then allow a much wider range in the sweep of the volume and gain controls of this channel....details

The Groove Tubes GT-12AT7 preamp tube is manufactured to the highest quality JAN spec. NOS, made in USA for extremely long life. Used widely in most U.S.-made amps and, in particular, Fender amps. Fender amps with reverb use 2 - 12AT7s - one for the reverb drive stage, and one as a phase inverter to drive the push/pull output stage. The makeup of the 12AT7 is very similar to the 12AX7 and it can be substituted for a 12AX7 in a pinch. Some players prefer the 12AT7 in the driver stage of a Marshall for a cleaner, brighter tone. (The driver or phase inverter is the 12AX7 located nearest the power tubes.) The 12AT7 is rarely used in a tone-generating stage, but rather in function stages, so the Groove Tubes GT-12AT7 is selected for durability....details

Specially selected from premium Groove Tubes preamp tubes that have been tested to meet the GT standard.
