Novation Nocturn Intelligent Plug-In Controller with Automap Universal 2.0 Software
Novation Nocturn Intelligent Plug-In Controller with Automap Universal 2.0 Software
Novation's most affordable hardware controller to date, Nocturn is an intelligent plug-in controller that promises to unleash the full potential of all your favorite instruments and effects. Featuring the latest Automap Universal 2.0 software, exclusive to Novation controllers, Nocturn provides automatic, instant and intelligent control of all automatable plug-ins within every major sequencer, including Pro Tools.Nocturn features eight touch-sensitive rotary encoders, each equipped with a bright eleven-LED ring (ideal for laptop DJs working in a dark club environment). These are accompanied by eight user-assignable illuminated buttons and a smooth, professional 45mm cross-fader. The finishing touch is Novation's unique 'speed dial'; a touch-sensitive rotary encoder that instantly takes control of whatever your mouse is focused on.Featuring a revolutionary new 'heads-up transparent control GUI', Automap Universal 2.0 places a transparent control map across your computer screen, to be recalled or hidden at will. Little or no user setup is required and plug-in control can be exactly the way you want it, no matter what music software you use. Just boot up the plug-in and you'll see at a glance how the parameters are automatically assigned to each of Nocturn's controls. An instant click and control 'learn' function is also available for quick re-assigning of controls, or for creating your own controller map in seconds. Multiple page options mean that you can assign a potentially infinite number of parameters for each plug-in.Automap Universal 2.0 also categorizes all your control maps. A simple browsing facility lets you review all open plug-ins, then quickly switch to controlling one of them. Automap Universal 2.0 also supports standard MIDI protocol, providing the same transparent display for quick and simple assigning of MIDI parameters. This ensures Nocturn can also turn its hand to controlling a hardware MIDI device, any non-automatable plug-ins, or your sequencer mixer. Once a 'MIDI map' is created, it can be saved and recalled via the same map browsing facility. A growing number of maps will be available to download from www.novationmusic.comNocturn's spacious and tactile control layout, side-mounted USB socket and ultra-low profile allow it to sit neatly in front of your QWERTY keyboard or on a larger keyboard such as the SL61. Large, rugged rubber grips hold it steady while you let rip with your favorite music software.Combined, Automap Universal 2.0's heads up transparent control GUI and Nocturn's touch sensitive dials remove the hassle inherent in controlling multiple instruments and effects, allowing you to flow intuitively from one plug-in to the next, leaving you free to focus on what matters most — your music.• Exclusive Automap Universal 2.0 technology — Novation's instant and intelligent control technology leaves you free to focus on what matters most &md...details

Novation 61 SL MkII Keyboard Controller
Novation 61 SL MkII Keyboard Controller
The Novation 61SL MkII Keyboard Controller gives modern DAW users every dimension of hardware control. The 61SL MkII offers a hands-on approach to navigating software, audio mixing and controlling plug-ins. The Novation 61SL MkII is an extraordinary MIDI controller value. It integrates a DAW control surface with a quality semi-weighted keyboard—with after-touch—and the most intuitive plug-in mapping capabilities available. All this musical goodness is presided over by Automap 3 PRO—arguably the most advanced control software on the market.61SL MkII upholds Novation's reputation for building quality hardware (like the SL Mk I, they will also appeal to performers who need a well-constructed keyboard on stage). Quality is not just reflected in their robustness, but more importantly in the way the 61SL Mk II has been designed with every detail calculated to maximize workflow. The 61 SL Mk II's visually feeds back all controller information to the user with back lit buttons and encoder LED rings. The difficulty with other control surfaces is in knowing what is assigned to what. 61SL MkII has a giant 144-character ultra-bright LCD screen that displays all the parameter names and values for the currently selected row of controllers. All 8 faders and 16 knobs are touch sensitive, so the moment one is touched, the display shows the names and values on that row and puts brackets around the controller that is currently being touched. This enables the user to see which parameter is assigned to the controller without having to change the value, or refer to their software. 61SL MkII also has a dedicated 'Speed Dial' knob, which can be used to change the value of any parameter the cursor is positioned over without making any assignments whatsoever. The 8 continuous rotary encoders have 11 segment LED rings around each of them, allowing encoders to behave like pots so the user can see the value before moving them. All the buttons have LED lights underneath them so users can instantly see their status without having to press them. There are 8 soft-feel drum pads, a pitch/modulation wheel and an X/Y Xpression touchpad which, (along with footswitch and sustain pedal inputs), are all fully assignable to any parameter with the Automap softwareThe 61SL MkII has been designed to draw minimum current so it can be used as a USB buss-powered device, and an optional 9V DC power supply can be added for stand-alone use. As well as USB interfacing, the 61SL MkII has 1 MIDI in, 1 MIDI thru and 2 MIDI outs. The power behind the 61SL MkII's unique ability to map controllers at the touch of a button is contained within the included Automap software. Automap 3 PRO enables users to map controllers with incredible speed and ease—no more digging through MIDI continuous controller numbers, the Automap server takes care of it all. Novation Super Nova FX Plug-In Suite
Novation Super Nova FX Plug-In Suite
The Super Nova FX Plug-in Suite provides five key effects from Novation's illustrious synth heritage, including signature effects derived from the legendary SuperNova II. The five independent VST/AU plug-ins include Chorus, Delay, Tremolo, Phaser and the famously flexible, powerful filter, which features overdrive. Each and every one of these software plug-ins offers a significant upgrade from standard sequencer effects and will add musicality to every production project. The Novation filter plug-in is perhaps the most sought-after effect of the five included in the Super Nova FX Suite. Modeled on the filter section of the Supernova II, this powerful effect has an array of features and a unique sound that sets it apart from other filters on the market. An audio-triggered envelope alongside five different filter types, three different octave slopes, and a crunchy overdrive dial, allow this filter to deliver a wide variety of dynamic filter modulation effects. Of all the filter types, the dual peak filter is a rarity in this day and age, but capable of delivering that signature "WOW" sound found in many modern dance remixes. The filter also features a Q-Norm dial—a resonance normalizer that reduces the signal level in relation to the resonance level. It's ideal for mimicking classic filters like those found on Moog and Oberheim synthesizers, or the Roland TB303.The Novation Delay plug-in is an enhanced version of the Supernova II delay and an essential for any producer's arsenal. The delay can be used to bring an edge to guitars or to provide a slap-back delay for vocals. However, with the addition of a high- and low-pass in-line filter, it can also deliver funky dub-style effects or a quasi-tape echo. The various stereo modes offer yet more creative flexibility. The Tremolo plug-in has never been seen before as a dedicated Novation effect. It is based on the panning section of the Supernova II synth. Depth and speed controls sit alongside a Phase control that brings another dimension to this effect, helping to produce fully variable auto-pan stereo spatial effects. Finally, the Chorus and Phaser effects directly model the same effects featured on the award-winning, industry-changing Novation K- Station synthesizer. The Novation FX Plug-in Suite brings quality digital signal processing to a new level of affordability, placing sound-sculpting flexibility and professional solutions within reach of producers on even the tightest of budgets....details

Use the Nocturn 25 to get hands-on control of your plug-in instruments, effects and sequencer. Most keyboard controllers have 2 big problems: The idea of being able to control software parameters with knobs and buttons sounds great. However, the hassle of assigning them, and remembering what they are assigned to becomes so tedious that you usually end up turning back to your mouse.Nocturn 25 MIDI Keyboard's Automap control software solves both these problems. To assign controllers, simply click on the parameter, touch a knob or button, and it is assigned! It also enables you to keep track of what is assigned to what. Automap can integrate with Logic, ProTools, Digital Performer and any other HUI compatible sequencers, using the HUI control protocol.Displaying Control Information The Automap GUI graphically displays all the controls on Nocturn Keyboard, visually showing you what software parameter is assigned to each control, exactly as it is laid out on the unit. You can also name each control, turning the GUI into a giant screen where all information is instantly displayed and updated. You can also plug a guitar straight into the XioSynth for DI recording while also recording via microphone.Flexible MIDI controller for software or hardware In addition to synthesizing and audio/MIDI interfacing, the keyboard is also a comprehensive control surface with 11 knobs and buttons (doubled to 22 by a Group A/B switch), plus a freely assignable touchpad and joystick. All of these controls are pre-programmed in 16 onboard Templates, so that the XioSynth can instantly control many software applications straight out the box. Add to this many more Templates online, a free Template Editor software application and hybrid modes for simultaneous synthesizing and MIDI controlling, and you have an extremely versatile package for producing or performing.Highly Portable Simply connecting the keyboard over USB is all that's required to start recording, synthesizing and MIDI controlling. As the device is class compliant, no drivers are required for Windows XP or Mac OSX (although some are provided to improve latency and stability in some apps). Acres of program locations and the flexibility of integrating it with your sequencer and/or disc-based recording setup make it a useful tool that's also a team player. Sounds created in the V-station can be downloaded into the A- or K-station and vice versa.Getting the best from the V-Station is easy. All the primary sound-shaping controls are there on the main screen. Clear, concise, and simple. Recall a preset, tweak, and instantly save it in any of the 400 program locations. Need more? Just click and you'll find additional functions and controls on the other 3 screens.3 powerful oscillators provide all the classic waveforms, including a sine wave for those sub-bass floor-shaking grooves. All waveforms feature a doubling ability which provides twin waveforms with no loss of polyphony. Oscillators may be set to unison or sync operation and can use FM for the generation of metallic or percussive timbres. A noise source is also included in the waveform engine.Filters in the Novation V-Station deliver the rich, liquid sound of analog filters. Selectable low-pass, 12dB or 24dB cut-off curves with resonance and overdrive make it easy to re-create anything from a distorted TB303 to a tight, rounded bass patch.Call up an instance of the V- Station and there are immediately a further 8 voices available with a new sound if desired. This ability to use multiple instances allows the V-Station to run as many multitimbral parts as the power of the host computer will allow. The Novation V-Station adopts the sound structure of the Supernova Synthesizer to provide 6 simultaneous effects on each part on the multitimbral synthesizer. The effects include a distortion unit, stereo chorus, phaser, reverb, synchronized pan, and delay. The arpeggiator supplies programmable speed, synchronization, and sweep range for each instance, allowing for comprehensive synchronization of time-based effects. Set up a few instances, hit a single key and trigger a wall of sound. All running arpeggiators and LFOs can be individually synchronized to MIDI Clock in different time signatures.Covering a huge sonic range from searing leads to passionate pads, from delicate electric pianos to phat funky bass, this soft synth dishes up hard sounds....details

Novation Dicer DJ Cue Point and Looping Controller
Novation Dicer DJ Cue Point and Looping Controller
Serato Scratch Live has a new partner: The Novation Dicer. Developed with Serato, this palm-sized cue point and looping controller has been designed to fit exactly where you need it: on your turntables, CDJs, mixer, or laptop. Dicer always ships in pairs—one for each side.So what does it do?Plug Dicer in, slot it on your turntable/CDJ, and you can instantly set cue points and use them to trigger Hot Cues. Or, flip Dicer into Auto Loop or Loop Roll modes to trigger loops, or roll sections of the track to create climaxes, drops, and glitchy breaks. Each mode illuminates Dicer's pads a different color, so you can instantly see what mode the pad is in, which is extremely advantageous in the usual dark clubs and venues. The forthcoming Scratch Live 2.1 update will automatically map the Dicer to these functions and provide full LED feedback—red for Hot Cues, green for Loop Roll, and amber for Auto-Loop. Dicer can control all cue-point and looping functions in the current version of Serato Scratch Live 2.0. This requires you to simply learn cue-point and looping to Dicer's pads, using Scratch Live's MIDI-learn function. The public beta of Scratch Live 2.1 is available now.Dicer's buttons can also learn other software functions. You can assign different FX to the pads, trigger samples over the top of your mix, or even browse tracks in your iTunes library.Dicer was designed by Novation in collaboration with Ean Golden—DJ and curator of DJ Tech Tools. Ean came up with the concept of a controller that fits on the turntable, and his contribution has been crucial in helping Novation design and develop Dicer....details
